License terms

These terms are between you and OnCycle LLC, which makes and sells Hoopsy.

The license

• A Hoopsy license lets you use Hoopsy on one computer at a time. To move it, sign the first computer out; a key can move 3 times in 30 days.
• The license doesn't expire: Hoopsy keeps running every version released while your updates last.
• Keep your key to yourself: don't share it, sell it on, or get round Hoopsy's license check.

Updates

• A license includes a year of updates from the day you buy it. A version released after your updates end needs a renewal to run; the versions before it keep working.
• Renewing adds a year, from the day your updates end or from the day you renew if they've already ended. While updates are current, or up to 30 days after they end, a renewal costs 60% of what you paid for the license; later than that, it costs what you paid.
• Your renewal price is set when you buy, and won't go up if Hoopsy's price does.

The free trial

The first time Hoopsy goes online on a computer, it starts a 7-day trial there. When the trial ends, Hoopsy needs a license to keep working.

Paying

• You pay in US dollars, through Stripe. Sales tax is added where OnCycle LLC collects it.
• Your key, or your renewal, is delivered as soon as you've paid, so sales are final and there are no refunds. Try the free trial first. This doesn't take away any rights the law where you live gives you.

Checking in and updates

Hoopsy checks its license online when it opens, and about once a week while it stays open. It sends the key, an anonymous ID for the computer, and Hoopsy's and the system's versions: never your designs or artwork. It also checks for new versions, when it opens and once a day, unless you turn that off; and it only installs one when you say so. Privacy has the details.

Your designs

What you make with Hoopsy is yours.

No warranty

Hoopsy is provided as it is, without a promise that it's free of errors or right for any particular job. Sew a test before stitching anything you can't replace. OnCycle LLC's liability to you is limited to what you paid for the license.

Ending the license

If these terms are broken, OnCycle LLC may stop the key working.
