The first public release of Hoopsy, for Macs with Apple silicon on macOS 11 or later. From here on Hoopsy keeps itself up to date: it checks hoopsy.app for a new version when it opens and once a day, and installs one only when you choose Install and relaunch. A license includes a year of updates.

Opening it the first time

Open the downloaded zip and drag Hoopsy into your Applications folder.
Open Hoopsy. macOS says it can't check it for malicious software, because Hoopsy isn't notarized by Apple yet. Choose Done.
Open System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security, scroll down to the note about Hoopsy, and click Open Anyway. After that, Hoopsy opens like any other app.

The free trial

The first time Hoopsy goes online on a computer, it starts a 7-day trial there, with everything working. When it ends, a license keeps Hoopsy going.

Updates

Hoopsy checks for new versions and installs one when you say so. A license includes a year of updates; versions released while yours last keep working for good.
